Description:

A person may hold more than one position at the same time within the same enterprise, in several enterprises, in one province or in different provinces. There is no correspondence between the number of positions held and the persons holding them.

The TOTAL value corresponds to the total number of positions recorded and not the sum of the individual variables reported.

The stock of companies registered as of 12.31.2002 can not be compared with the previous stocks because, as a result of the data quality improvement project carried out by the Chamber of Commerce of Rome in the first seven months of 2002, were definitively subtracted from the stock of province of Rome 34,359 positions that were registered in the Register of Companies and for which, after five years, no sufficient elements have emerged for registration in the Register of Companies. Data for all other provinces and regions remain fully comparable with past series.
